Finally

With all these annoying posts about Inception, I’m a little reluctant to blog about last night’s dream, but I know I’ll eventually forget it if I don’t.

Last night before I went to sleep, I turned on my lamp because I was getting creeped out about the darkness. I kept hearing creaking noises around my room, but they didn’t stop when I turned on the light either.

I eventually fell asleep and dreamt that I had gotten in trouble somehow (and ended up in jail temporarily -err, I assume so), I was then released (I don’t remember this or how I got to these next events) and arrived at the airport thinking to myself that while everyone else had someone there to pick them up, I had no one. As I made my way out, I saw a familiar face that I didn’t expect to see - it was my mom. She turned towards me and she was wearing her yellow polyester San Francisco jacket that she always liked to wear. We were happy to see each other and she asked me about how I got myself in to trouble. I don’t think the question or the answer really mattered, I gave her a hug and told her how much I missed her. I then woke up to my alarm and my dream had ended.

I lingered in the comfort of my bed before getting ready for work (it was cold and gloomy this morning!) and realized that my lamp was off. I figured that maybe the light bulb had died, but the light switch was turned off too. I then asked my dad if he had come into my room to turn off the light, but he didn’t.

After all this time, I think she finally came to visit me.
